Ravens May Lose Key Players in Free Agency
Jason LaCanfora of CBS Sports is reporting that the Baltimore Ravens might not be able to retain linebacker Paul Kruger or corner back Cary Williams this off season The Ravens have made it known that with Ray Lewis on his way out inside linebacker and heir to Lewis throne, Dannell Ellerbe is a main priority this off season.
Both Kruger and Williams have come to play in the playoffs, which will only help their stock rise when they test free agency this off season Kruger is reported to be looking at getting $9 million a year, while Williams is looking at roughly $7 million a year if not more. Those numbers make it hard for the Ravens to keep Ellerbe and sign both back, let alone all three men.
Even if the Ravens walk out of Sunday’s game as Super Bowl Champion that are looking at a rough patch ahead of them with free agency and age affecting them almost as much as their AFC North rivals the Pittsburgh Steelers.
