You could say it was all about being in the right place at the right time.
But in the case of "Thunder Dan" Majerle, it was his way of coming through in the clutch.
Majerle was a first-round draft pick by the Phoenix Suns in 1988, and would spend eight of his fourteen seasons with the team. Shortly after retiring from the NBA, he spent four seasons as a Suns broadcaster. He's been the Suns' assistant coach since 2008.
Anyhow, on Saturday night, Majerle was at the Giants/Diamondbacks game when, in the third inning, shortly after Willie Bloomquist tied the score at 1-1, Gerardo Parra was up to bat when this happened.
Even more impressive was that he was able to make the catch, dish in hand and all.
Wonder if this will make ESPN's "Web Gems"?
