Almost every week is fight week for Team Alpha Male, home of current UFC Bantamweight champion Cody Garbrandt.

The team had a clean sweep this past Saturday at Gladiator Challenge as Angelo Trevino, Josh Appelt, Salaiman Ahmadyar, Nico Lozada, Kayleigh Burrage, Omar Hussein and Matthew Wagy all picked up wins.

With multiple upcoming UFC bouts as well, the team has a busy schedule ahead. Despite, bantamweight champion Cody Garbrandt having to pull out of his title fight versus TJ Dillashaw at UFC 213 due to a back injury, the month remains as eventful as ever for TAM.

Teruto Ishihara will return at the TUF Redemption Finale after suffering his first UFC loss to Artem Lobov back in November. He will take on veteran Gray Maynard on July 7th in Vegas. Maynard is coming off a frustrating loss to jiu-jitsu wizard Ryan Hall and will be met by the hard hitting Ishihara.

Team Alpha Male’s hottest, undefeated prospect Cynthia Calvillo stormed into the UFC with a bang. She was featured in back to back PPV main cards, choking out Amanda Cooper and Pearl Gonzalez. She will face her toughest test yet when she takes on Muay Thai striker Joanne Calderwood in Glasgow, competing in enemy territory.

Perhaps considered the greatest comeback in UFC history, a bloody and battered Darren Elkins was down big but was able to rally back and knock out highly touted prospect Mirsad Bektic. He was able to come back in the third round at UFC 209 and finish the fight. He delivered a brutal head kick followed by an array of punches which folded Bektic.

Riding an impressive 4 fight win streak against high level competition, he will look to continue to make the climb in the featherweight rankings when he takes on 10th ranked Dennis Bermudez in Long Island.

Finally rounding up the hot July, Team Alpha Male favourite Andre Fili will take on the Korean Super Boy Doo Ho Choi. Choi is coming off the 2016 fight of the year war versus Cub Swanson and gained a ton of popularity despite losing.

After suffering a knockout loss to Yair Rodriguez, Fili proved his worth by stepping in on short notice and taking out formerly ranked Hacran Dias. This was arguably Fili’s most impressive performance yet where he was able to drop Dias in the first round and scrambled well in the remainder of the fight, displaying his ever improving ground game. The two young featherweights will battle it out July 29th at UFC 214 in Anaheim.

Clay Guida will kick off the summer madness in Oklahoma City, June 25th when he takes on Erik Koch. Plenty to look forward to for Team Alpha Male who are expected to relocate to an impressive new facility very soon.
