College football in 2018 is going to be crazy. Especially in the Pac-12 conference. After firing their head coach Jim Mora, the UCLA Bruins football team has hired Chip Kelly as their new head coach according to multiple reports.

Chip Kelly began his college football coaching career with the Oregon Ducks in 2009. In three of his four seasons with Oregon, he took the Ducks to a bowl game where he went 2-2. Kelly also led the Ducks to at least 12 wins or more. In 2012, he left Oregon with an impressive record of 46-7 in a total of 53 games he coached.

In 2013, Chip Kelly was hired by the Philadelphia Eagles where he would take his Oregon offense and transfer it to the Eagles. Being that it is so new, defenses didn’t know how to defend it. That’s why in his first two seasons, the Eagles went 10-6. In his first season in Philly, Chip Kelly led Philadelphia to the playoffs but did not win the game.

In 2015, Eagles fired Chip Kelly with a 6-9 record. When the San Francisco 49ers had an open spot at head coach, Chip took the job thinking he could lead the 49ers back to their winning ways. Unfortunately, not so much. After the 2016 season, he was fired by the 49ers.

During the 2017 season, he took the year off of coaching and became an analyst for ESPN covering college football games. That is until the UCLA Bruins called him to go to California.

Will he bring his style of offense back to college football or will he learn from past mistakes and change things up. Only time will tell.
