My Top 25 (Week 2)

5 Min Read

It was a great opening week of the college football season.  While it was only week 1, we found out a lot about certain teams.  Boise State proved they are still one of the best programs in the nation after their impressive win over Georgia in Atlanta.  LSU was a little too much for Oregon in Baton Rouge.  Most of the other teams in the top 10 played cream-puffs and had blowouts.  We found out that some teams under the radar are better than originally thought.  Baylor had a huge 50-48 win over perennial power TCU in Waco.  South Florida had a nice win in South Ben over Notre Dame.

Team on the outside looking in that could have a monster year? Hawaii.  This is Greg McMackin’s 4th year and he now has the depth to be as competitive as some of June Jones’ best Hawaii teams of the past.  The Warriors made a statement against new Pac-12 member Colorado as the Warrior defense held the buffs to 17 rushing yards and zero td’s on the ground including 7 total sacks (all in the 2nd half.)  Bryant Moniz proved he is a legit Heisman candidate after accumulating 299 total yards (121 rushing) and 4 total touchdowns.  If the Warriors can knock of Washington in Seattle next week, Hawaii has a legit shot to run the table and possibly give Moniz a chance to be invited to New York.  Without further ado, here are my top 25 teams after week 1:
