UW will not retain DC Nick Holt, LBs coach Mike Cox & DB’s coach Jeff Mills, effective immediately. Ok good but is that enough? UW looked ready for the upset much like one year earlier when they upset a heavily favored Nebraska team in the Holiday Bowl, and then Baylor outscored UW43-14 in the final 29 minutes, scoring touchdowns on five straight drives and gaining 308 yards on only 20 plays, in an embarassing meltdown with the nation watching.
Baylor gained 777 yards, the most ever against Washington, or ever gained in any bowl game, and scored 67 points, the second-most to comeback and beat the Dawgs. If your team puts 56 points on the board and you still can’t win there is a major problem.
