Dunkin' Donuts and Boston Bruins…Valentine's Day Special

3 Min Read

Yes, I am not making this up to just get a little dig at the Boston Bruins; but it does make for poking a little fun at the Stanley Cup Champions. Love is in the air between the Boston Bruins and Dunkin’ Donuts yet again this year. And I know that I picked an odd picture of Tyler Seguin to grace the page of this article but this special lifetime chance for a few lucky men and women involve Tyler Seguin.

So lets stop poking fun at the chance of romance and bromance for a few lucky Boston Bruins fans  and give you the real details of what is going down at Dunkin’ Donuts.  Yesterday, Dunkin’ Donuts announced the renewal of their sponsorship deal with Boston Bruins sophomore sensation Tyler Seguin.

The agreement includes Seguin’s participation in various radio and social media campaigns, continued work as a brand ambassador and arm candy for some lucky girl — or guy — this Valentine’s Day; yeah, seriously. Now this deal also involves the #19 which Tyler Seguin wears proudly. Lets take a look at some of the promotion:

“Male and female fans can show their love for #19 by entering for a chance to win ‘The Romance & Bromance Tyler Seguin Sweepstakes’ by clicking on the ‘Tyler Seguin Sweeps’ tab on the Dunkin’ Donuts Facebook page through Feb. 9,” Dunkin’ said.

“Six lucky fans will win lunch with Tyler Seguin for themselves and a friend, a $19 Dunkin’ Donuts card, and Boston Bruins gear. The sweepstakes are open to Massachusetts and New Hampshire residents 18 years of age or older.”

So what does Tyler Seguin have to say:

“Dunkin’ Donuts fueled me through last year’s season, and I’m thrilled that we’ll continue to work together in 2012,” Seguin said in a statement. “I particularly enjoyed the community involvement through my work with Dunkin’ Donuts last year and look forward to meeting even more Bruins and Dunkin’ fans through the partnership.”

What happened last time Seguin did this? Well Tyler Seguin prepped himself for his Valentine’s Day date with Shawn, an 19-year-old B’s fan from Marblehead. Yeah, it was complete Bromance for Tyler Seguin. Lets hope that this year is a little different for the Boston Bruin if not maybe he can be the next Bachelor.
