Video: Peyton Manning Throwing Session

2 Min Read

News is breaking out all around the media world that a video floating around on YouTube is indeed that of soon-to-be free agent quarterback Peyton Manning.

The video was supposedly filmed on March 2nd, 2012 and shows the current Indianapolis Colts quarterback making a wide range of throws in the short 27 second video. The video already had over 300,000 views up until the time of this article.

Manning looked sharp and the ball had plenty of velocity and accuracy which could possibly be Manning’s way to respond to those amongst the NFL circles who questioned whether Manning could even throw the ball with any velocity.

The video comes just days before the March 8th deadline where the Colts, most notably owner Jim Irsay, will be forced to either pick up the $28 million dollar contract option to retain Manning or decline it making Peyton an unrestricted free agent. The Colts, who have the 1st overall pick in the upcoming NFL draft, are expected to let Manning walk and use their draft pick on Stanford prospect Andrew Luck which will kickstart their rebuilding process.

Once Manning becomes a free agent it is expected he will have a number of teams interested in his services including the Miami Dolphins, Washington Redskins, Kansas City Chiefs, Seattle Seahawks and New York Jets.
