The 4 Teams To Watch After The All-Star Break

4 Min Read

Now that the MLB All-Star break has come to an end these are the 4 teams that you should keep an eye on throughout the rest of the season.

Boston Red Sox

The Red Sox played great in the first half of the season, and they are looking to continue to do so in the second half. They ended the first half with a 4-game winning streak and they are looking to extend it against their division rivals the New York Yankees.

This upcoming series could set the tone for the rest of the season for Boston. They are looking to take down one of the weaker teams in their division this season and start the second half off right. This Boston team is on a mission to send David “Big Papi” Ortiz off into the sunset with one more World Series title.

Cleveland Indians

The Cleveland Indians are having a great season. They are looking to make history and they have the talent on their team to do so. They are a hot hitting team and they could close the deal on defense with their great pitching. They have risen to the top of the AL Central and they want to keep pulling away from the other teams.

The Indians are giving a new meaning to the term teamwork because they have it down to a science. There record tells the story of how great their team has been so far. This is not the team you want to face in the playoffs because they mean business.

Chicago Cubs

The Cubs are a very talented young team and they are another team that has a shot at winning it all this season. They ended the first half of their season with a win pushing them 18 games over .500. Players like Kris Bryant and Anthony Rizzo have been having great seasons on offense, and if they continue to play this well they will make a deep playoff run.

The Cubs are seeking another chance to win the pennant this season after they were eliminated last year. They continued to show how dangerous they can be when they all get involved on offense.

San Francisco Giants

I know it is an even numbered year and they played great baseball in the first half of the season, but I will not crown them just yet. The Giants have the best record in major league baseball (57-33) and they look like they are ready to win this season.

This season is different because they are not the only power house team in their division. The Dodgers are right on their tale and if they get hot they can catch up to the Giants in a hurry. The Giants are a tough team to beat both at home and on the road so I would not be surprised to see a deep run in the playoffs.

It will be interesting to see which one of these teams will be in the playoffs if not all of them, and to see the type playing style that can help them win it all.
