Quintavious Williams Wants To Take His Play To The Next Level in 2016

4 Min Read

Quintavious Williams has one mentality on the football field. Stop the ball and help his team. He believes he is more effective in space and stopping the run as an outside linebacker and defensive end.

“I started playing because I had a passion for it [going back to] when I was about four years old. I started playing football [also] because I saw other people playing it and I got more interested in it,” Williams said.

Family is important to Quintavious Williams. He said that his grandparents always motivate him to do the right thing and stay out of trouble. He has had to battle adversity from the standpoint of trying to make everybody happy. He’s able to handle that pressure now. He is a Madison, Georgia native and is grateful to that city for what it has done to make him into a well-rounded young man.

“Madison formed me in a great way because I’ve been living here all my life. It transformed me into a good football player and athlete and a great student in class.”

Quintavious Williams is now a junior for the Morgan County Bulldogs and according to the 247Sports Composite, the six-foot-one and a half, 205 pound, outside linebacker is a four-star recruit in the 2018 class, the 17th best outside linebacker and 23rd best player in Georgia. He has received a total of six scholarship offers so far from these programs: Florida, Alabama, Michigan, Mississippi State, Charlotte, South Carolina, and Tennessee.

Looking at film on Quintavious Williams, he has great lateral speed from both of his defensive positions and whether you need him to stop the run or rush the passer, he doesn’t have a problem doing either one of those things. See his sophomore highlight film here.

Right now he has high interest in Alabama, Florida, Michigan, and Tennessee. He plans to make his commitment decision in his senior year.  The Bulldogs had a losing season last year going 4-7 overall (2-5 region) but Quintavious Williams and senior defensive end M.J. Webb should be able to help them turn it around in 2016. Webb holds 26 offers from schools including Auburn, Alabama, South Carolina, Kentucky, Tennessee, Clemson, Florida, Georgia and more.

“Just conditioning for when I get to the next level, stuff like that. [Also], getting some more mental reps down for the next level,” Williams said about what needs to be done in order for him to be a complete football player.

On the field, he wants to have a better season, individually have a better year to put on tape and have fun with his teammates on the field. He also will miss the high school experience.

“Just the high school and they also have the best teachers. I’m going to miss just playing sports and just getting live with my teammates.”
