Stephen Curry Will Re-Sign With Golden State Warriors

2 Min Read

Stephen Curry got fans excited on Tuesday when he stated that he is likely to re-sign with the Golden State Warriors next offseason, his first time as an unrestricted free agent.

“Yes. Yes,” Curry said when asked if he plans to re-sign.

Curry was also asked if he would consult the newest addition to the Warriors roster, Kevin Durant, about contract negotiations.

“Maybe, but I’m not going to let it distract me at all.”

“I want to be back here. I like playing here, and that’s it,” Curry said.

Curry is hopeful that his contract status and pending negotiations won’t become a distraction for a Golden State team that is loaded with premier talent and poised for an NBA championship run.

“I hope not because we’ll worry about that in the summer. My answer’s not going to be any different all year. So, keep asking me, I won’t have a different one,” Curry said.

According to Curry, the first day of Warriors training camp was a success. Curry also spoke of his excitement about this season’s team and was in awe of all the talent around him during training camp.

“One of those things you get excited just looking at the different possibilities, number of lineups we can put out there,” Curry said.

One major takeaway is that Warriors fans can rest a little easier knowing that Curry fully intends to re-sign with the only franchise he has ever played for.
