2 Min Read

The UNLV football team leaves for Hawaii today to play the Warriors late Saturday night. The Mountain West Conference game will be shown locally in Las Vegas on Fox 5 starting at 9 p.m. PT. Live stats will also be available online at unlvrebels.com or you can listen online from the UNLV Gameday app or ESPN Radio 1100 AM.

Hawaii has won 2 games in a row and looking for a 3 game winning streak. UNLV is ranked 17 in the country in rushing offense. Last year, the Rebels won 41-21 at home vs. Hawaii. UNLV currently has 8 players on the team from Hawaii that are looking forward to seeing their family and friends, including some friends they will be competing with during the game.

2 quarterbacks are expected to play for UNLV in the game. Freshman Dalton Sneed was moved up to #1 QB position after starter, Johnny Stanton, was injured in the 4th game of the season. We should also see some minutes by Kurt Palendech who has been injured most of the season and has not taken a snap yet. UNLV junior,Devonte Boyd, is only 75 receiving yards away from moving into 9th place on the school’s career list.

The Rebels are 2-3 looking to surpass their previous 2 seasons winning totals and looking for their first road win. In 2014, the Rebels won just 2 games and in 2015, they won 3 games.
