NFL Week 11: Winners and Losers

Week 11 saw standouts and a few surprises, here are my winners and losers:

Winners:

1. Dallas Cowboys: Quarterback Dak Prescott threw for 301 yards and three touchdowns and more importantly zero interceptions as the Cowboys defeated the Baltimore Ravens 27-17. A solid showing by Prescott against the league’s top defense and leading the Cowboys to a franchise record ninth straight win.
2. Seattle Seahawks: Quarterback Russell Wilson threw for 272 yards and a touchdown. The defense caught two interceptions as the Seahawks defeated the Philadelphia Eagles 26-15.
3. Detroit Lions: Safety Rafael Bush’s pick six helped the Lions hold off the Jacksonville Jaguars 26-19. Their fifth win in their last six games.
4. Buffalo Bills: The defense caught two interceptions as the Bills defeated the Cincinnati Bengals 16-12.
5. Minnesota Vikings: Cornerback Xavier Rhodes had a 100-yard pick six. Wide receiver Cordarrelle Patterson’s 101 yard punt return for a touchdown helped the Vikings defeat the Arizona Cardinals 30-24, snapping a four-game losing streak.

Losers:

1. Philadelphia Eagles: Quarterback Carson Wentz’s two interceptions stalled drives in their loss to Seattle.
2. Kansas City Chiefs: Quarterback Alex Smith’s interception and playing without cornerback Marcus Peters proved costly as the Chiefs were upset by the Tampa Buccaneers 19-17.
3. Cincinnati Bengals: Quarterback Andy Dalton’s two interceptions and losing key players to injuries were the Bengals’ undoing in their loss to Buffalo.
4. Green Bay Packers: Turnovers and the defense gave up 515 total yards in their loss to the Washington Redskins 42-24. With injuries and feuding within, the wheels are coming off for the Packers.
5. NFL kickers: There were 12 PATs missed on Sunday, which is a new NFL record. I understand the reasoning behind extending the yards for extra points but I feel the significance is misplaced. Now there’s too much importance on the extra point which to me isn’t necessary, just a thought.

Storylines Going Into Week 12:

Some intriguing Thanksgiving Day matchups, as Detroit hosts Minnesota for control of the NFC North. In the NFC East, can Washington cool Dallas’ hot streak? Pittsburgh travels to Indianapolis.

Arizona battles Atlanta. San Diego faces Houston. In the AFC West, Kansas City goes to Denver. Philadelphia hosts Green Bay.
