Positional needs: HB, WR/TE, OL, EDGE
HB: After adding Chris Ivory as a free agent last offseason, and with the emergence of second year running back T.J. Yeldon, many people thought this team would be able to run the ball efficiently. Both Ivory and Yeldon have performed poorly, as they have averaged 3.8 and 3.6 yards/carry, respectively. Part of that could be blamed on the offensive line, which has played poorly, especially run blocking, but that does not excuse both running backs playing so poorly. Chris Ivory, in particular, has not lived up to the contract he signed in the offseason, as PFF ranks him 52 out of a qualified 52 halfbacks in the league. Blake Bortles has taken a step back, but improving the running back position could go a long ways in helping him return to 2015 form.

Potential draft targets: Leonard Fournette, Dalvin Cook, Royce Freeman
WR/TE: After breakout seasons in 2015 by both Allen Robinson and Allen Hurns, both have regressed in 2016, especially Hurns, who ranks 108th out of a qualified 115 wideouts. Julius Thomas, who is being paid the fourth most, in terms of average salary/year, among tight ends, but is certainly not playing like the fourth best tight end in the league. After posting 455 yards and 5 touchdowns in 12 games last year, he posted 281 yards and 4 touchdowns in 9 games, before landing on IR. The offense, in whole, needs more talent, and the skill positions should be upgraded.

Potential draft targets: Mike Williams, Corey Davis, Dede Westbrook
OL: The offensive line in Jacksonville has been a mess for quite a while, although they have found a top center in the draft, Brandon Linder. Other than Linder, every position needs to be addressed, including the guard positions. Starting guards, A.J. Cann and Chris Reed, have struggled mightily, especially in run blocking. Not only have the guards struggled, but so have the tackles, Kelvin Beachum and Jeremy Parnell have struggled. The offense, has a whole, needs to play better and it starts with the play in the trenches.

Potential draft targets: Cam Robinson, Ryan Ramczyk, Dorian Johnson
EDGE: The Jaguars defense is much improved, allowing the fifth least yard/game in the league. Malik Jackson, Jon Cyprien among others have led this group to becoming one of the top defenses in the league. Where they can improve is their pass rush, where they rank 20th in the league in sacks. Former 3rd overall pick Dante Fowler has not lived up to the hype, in terms of pass rush, as he only has 2.5 sacks on the year. Rookie defensive end Yannick Ngakoue has played well as a pass rusher, but has been mauled in the running game. If Jacksonville hopes to make this defense a great unit, they will need edge rushers that can get to the passer.
