Isaiah Humphries Commits To Penn State, Continuing The Family Legacy

1 Min Read

To start the new year, the Penn State Nittany Lions received a legacy commitment from Isaiah Humphries on New Years Day. Humphries became the seventh commit in the Nittany Lions 2018 recruiting class, the seventh blue-chip recruit and the second defensive player in the class.

Isaiah Humphries is continuing the tradition of his father, Leonard Humphries, started. He played for Penn State as a defensive back from 1989-91. He also played in the NFL and CFL during his professional career.

Humphries had Penn State in his top eight and chose them over Indiana, Oklahoma, California, Utah, and others. With one more year left as a Sachse Mustang, he has recorded these numbers so far: 75 tackles (33 solo), six pass breakups,  six interceptions, four fumble recoveries, three touchdowns, two tackles for loss.

Isaiah Humphries is a smart safety with great ball skills and speed. The Nittany Lions will get a guy that they can definitely mold into a complete football player.
