Boston Celtics Talk To Indiana Pacers About Paul George, George Likes Indy Or Lakers

1 Min Read

The Paul George trade rumors are heating up with each passing minute as we head towards the NBA trade deadline and it appears that despite the Indiana Pacers being adamant that their star forward isn’t available, he indeed is.

According to Adrian Wojnarowski of The Vertical, the Pacers and the Boston Celtics had a “preliminary” discussion about George, but the Pacers won’t seriously consider a deal “until/unless” Boston includes the first-round pick it can swap with the Brooklyn Nets.

Wojnarowski stated that the Nets pick has to come into play but at around 1:00 pm EST  Wojnarowski reported there was “no significant traction” in trade talks that would send George to the Celtics.

George told Marc Stein on ESPN Radio’s Meet the All-Stars (via ESPN.com) that his goal is to bring an NBA title to Indiana. But George also said that; “I want to compete for something.”

George is believed to be planning to either re-sign with the Pacers or, if he opts to leave, head to Los Angeles to play for the Lakers.
