Veteran Pitcher Jake Peavy Having A Rough Time

He is proven. He is capable and from all indications he seems to be well liked.

But former pitcher and current MLB free agent Jake Peavy is having a rough time as of late. But Peavy wants to play.

Jerry Crasnick of ESPN reported that last year Peavy lost millions in an investment scam and spent much of the 2016 season distracted by investigations and depositions and all the stress that is associated with them.

“It hurts not to be in spring training,” Peavy told Crasnick.I know that day is coming, but right now being a dad is absolutely No. 1. There’s no way in a million years that I could leave my boys at this time.”

To top things all off when the season ended Peavy had to go through a divorce.

Peavy, 35, has pitched for the San Diego Padres, Chicago White Sox, Boston Red Sox and San Francisco Giants throughout his career and pitched to the tune of a 3.58 ERA in 2015. In 2016, with the Giants, Peavy pitched a 5.54 ERA with 102 K
