Brave 3 Recap: Chute Boxe Diego Lima shine in Curitiba

3 Min Read

Brave MMA saw its first international installment last night when they made their way to Curitiba, Brazil for their third show. The card was stacked with Brazil’s finest, highlighted by Chute Boxe’s Lucas Martins who submitted late replacement Fabian Galvan via D’Arce Choke in the second round.

Another Chute Boxe Diego Lima standout, Felipe Efrain opened up the main card when he took on UFC veteran Walel Watson. Efrain was able to mix his striking and wrestling very well before dropping Watson with a brutal body shot to finish the fight in the second round.

Both fighters earned a performance of the night bonus with the closely contested battle between Jeremy Smith and Marcos Pirata earning the fight of the night bonus. Pirata won via controversial split decision in an action packed bout.

Also on the card, Carlston Harris shined bright in the co-main event when he unleashed a flurry on Thiago Vieira, dropping him with a right hand that sent him to the canvas. He then got on top and finished him with brutal ground and pound. The card featured 8 finishes out of the 10 fights with only 2 fights going the distance.
