Manny Pacquiao Vs. Amir Khan Potential Clash Rumors And Danny Garcia Vs. Keith Thurman Prediction

Pacquiao Vs. Khan, Coming Soon?

Last Saturday night, both Manny Pacquiao and Amir Khan  tweeted that negotiations were underway to secure a mega match to take place between both former gym mates/ sparring partners.

If this mega match comes to fruition, Khan would have finally landed one of his top two ultimate dream matches. Amir Khan (31-4, 19 KOs) has been trying desperately the past few years to land a fight with either currently retired, Floyd Mayweather Jr. or Manny Pacquiao (59-6-2, 38 KOs).

It has almost been a year since Khan last fought in May of 2016 when Canelo Alvarez knocked Khan out leaving him unconscious. The explosive knock out occurred in the 6th stanza when Khan was blitzed with a devastating right hand by the then-middleweight world champion Canelo Alvarez at a catchweight of 155 pounds.

The Pacquiao and Khan tweets about a potential matchup came to a big surprise to fight fans since Pacquiao previously had a deal to fight April 22 against Australia’s Jeff Horn in Brisbane.

Pacquiao then also recently tweeted that his next bout will take place in the United Arab Emirates.

However, no official announcement has been made about the location of the Khan fight or no concrete response from Pacquiao’s promoter Bob Arum on whether or not the fight is a done deal.

If the fight gets announced soon, fight fans will be in for quite a treat. A Pacquiao/Khan clash will be an exciting battle between the welterweight divisions fastest pair of hands. Both fighters also display very quick feet and fire out shots from different angles with precision and power.

So the question remains, will Pacquiao who last fought this past November when he dominated Jesse Vargas by unanimous decision, enter the ring on April 22 or 23? And if so, will Amir Khan be standing right across from the eight division world titleholder?

Danny Garcia Vs. Keith Thurman Fight Prediction

This Saturday night, on March 4th at the Barclay’s Center in Brooklyn, New York, Danny Garcia(33-0) will take on the very dangerous Keith Thurman(27-0) for welterweight supremacy.

Fight fans have been waiting for these two unbeaten fighters to lock horns for quite some time, mostly due to the fact that many see this as a 50/50 type of fight. It’s a fight between two power punching fighters that look to put their foes lights out with every murderous punch thrown.

To me, Thurman is the more complete fighter that uses his legs to create space on defense and can also box you wisely by picking his spots while on offense. Garcia on the other hand is a bit more one dimensional with very heavy feet.

The only good thing about Garcia’s flat footed boxing stance is that it allows him to sit completely on his punches and puts his entire weight behind his hooks. That is the reason why Garcia is able to connect and knock opponents out with his no look hooks, he times you and punches with you.

The fight will have a lot of close rounds so the score cards read at the end of the night could be perceived as being controversial. Look for Thurman to find a home for his right cross and look for Garcia to shoot out a left hook to the body and head. I’ve been on the fence on this one but I am taking Garcia’s experience in big fights to edge out Thurman by close decision in a thrilling clash.
