Highly sought after 2018 Quarterback Dorian Thompson-Robinson has chosen the UCLA Bruins and is going to play his college football at the Rose Bowl for the next three or four years.
The four star quarterback of the Bishop Gorman Gaels in Las Vegas, Nevada, chose between the UCLA Bruins and Michigan Wolverines. He had a total of 26 scholarship offers including: California, Florida State, North Carolina, Oregon, and South Carolina. Those five were in his top seven along with Michigan and UCLA.

A lot truly has changed for the rising senior. He will now take hold of the Gaels offense presumably as the starter, leading a dominant program that has been that way for as long as he has been there.
Dorian Thompson-Robinson is ranked the 50th best player nationally, the fourth best dual threat quarterback and second best player in Nevada all according to the 247Sports Composite. Thompson-Robinson produced for the Gaels, passing, running, and catching the ball: 21-31, 269 passing yards, three touchdowns, 67 percent completion percentage and 126.9 quarterback rating; 22 carries, 171 rushing yards (7.8 yards per carry) and six touchdowns; 22 receptions, 397 receiving yards (18 yards per catch) and eight touchdowns.
The Gaels went 15-0 in 2016, won the Class 4A state title and were ranked the best team in the nation.

Thompson-Robinson made his commitment Sunday April 23 at 7 pm PST/10 pm EST and he becomes the eighth recruit for UCLA, their second blue-chip recruit and sixth offensive player in the Bruin’s 2018 class.
The Bruins are getting a stud in Dorian Thompson-Robinson who is ranked No.50 on ESPN 300‘s 2018 recruiting class list and commit for the 2018 Under Armour All-American game and 2018 Polynesian Bowl in Hawaii.
When looking at film on him, his pocket presence is what sticks out more than anything. He is calm, cool and collected in the pocket. He is always making the right reads and accurate throws. His speed also helps him when scrambling out of the pocket which makes him even more dangerous.
Dorian Thompson-Robinson, once his time at Bishop Gorman is all said and done, he will be competing with the likes of Devon Modster, Craig Meyers and Justin Saleh. Josh Rosen and Mike Fafaul saw significant time for the Bruins in 2016 combining for 272 completions on 490 attempts (55 percent), 3,517 yards, 22 touchdowns and 16 interceptions.
The Bruins will have a younger quarterback group by the time Thompson-Robinson arrives. That may bode well for him in his pursuit of a starting job if not his freshman year (since he could possibly be redshirted), definitely his sophomore year.
The Bruins snagged a commitment from a proven winner and someone who knows that with time and hard work, everything will pay off.
