Giants’ Madison Bumgarner Heads To DL For First Time In His Career After Dirt Bike Accident

San Francisco Giants left-hander Madison Bumgarner had never been on the disabled list in his entire carer, until now.

The Giants formally placed Bumgarner on the disabled list on Friday with bruised ribs and a grade one or two left shoulder AC sprain.

Bumgarner suffered the injuries in an apparent dirt bike accident that occurred on Thursday.

Bumgarner, who is 0-3 with a 3.00 ERA, is reportedly out of the hospital and will be reevaluated next week.
