Tampa Bay Buccaneers Expected To Be Featured On HBO’s ‘Hard Knocks’

1 Min Read

While many of you are focused on the upcoming NFL Draft, a bit of NFL news came out regarding HBO’s popular series ‘Hard Knocks.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Baltimore Ravens, Chicago Bears, Cleveland Browns, Indianapolis Colts, New Orleans Saints, Philadelphia Eagles and Tennessee Titans were teams that were under consideration for the 2017 edition of the series.

The Saints seemed to be against the idea of being featured on the show. The team has previously voiced opposition to appear on the show and head coach Sean Payton has stated that he would not allow himself to appear on TV in such a capacity.

“I’ll never be videotaped releasing a player,” Payton said after the 2015 NFL season.

Tampa Bay Times’ Rick Stroud has reported that “all indications” are that the Bucs will appear on the show.

To follow up, Roy Cummings of WFLA-TV reported it’s a done deal. An official announcement is expected Wednesday.
