Brandon Jacobs Is Going After Jim Harbaugh, Intent On Getting Him Fired

2 Min Read

It seems shots, no, nukes have been fired by former New York Giants and San Francisco 49ers running back Brandon Jacobs.

His target? Michigan head coach and his former coach in San Francisco, Jim Harbaugh.

Jacobs appeared in only two games during the 2012 season with the 49ers, the same season that Harbaugh, who was the head coach at the time, took the Niners to the Super Bowl.

But Jacobs had plenty to say about Harbaugh during an appearance on CBS Sports Radio’s Tiki and Tierney.

“Let’s be real,” Jacobs said (h/t SB Nation).

“I had a lot of respect for Jim when I was there, before I got to know him. I enjoyed my time there, but we didn’t see eye-to-eye. I knew a little bit more about football than what they let on, to me, because that’s how I was taught.

Going into somewhere where they don’t have a route conversion in certain coverages was just absurd. They’re just running routes in the defense, getting people killed.

I mean, size and strength is what they had, and that’s why they won. Let’s be real. They had great assistant coaches, but Jim didn’t know what he was doing. Jim had no idea. Jim is throwing slants into cover-2 safeties, getting people hurt.

That guy knew nothing, man.”

Jacobs ire seems to extend beyond simple X’s and O’s and seems to be rooted in something far more personal.

Jacobs continued his verbal assault on the Michigan head coach on Twitter in a tweet that has been taken down.

“Love the support but stop the super bowl talk. I will expose him, Michigan will fire him when I am done.”

Harbaugh seemed to take the high road when responding to Jacobs’ comments on social media.
