2 Min Read

As soon as wide receiver Jeremy Maclin was surprisingly released from the Kansas City Chiefs, people started connecting the dots to a few teams that would be a fit for veteran.

One of those teams, the Buffalo Bills, hosted Maclin on a free agent visit on Tuesday.

There is a connection for Maclin in Buffalo as new Bills head coach Sean McDermott was the defensive coordinator on the Philadelphia Eagles staff for the first two seasons. that Maclin was there.

Bills running back LeSean McCoy is a former teammate of Maclin and has been pushing for the team to sign him.

“He would love to come. He likes Tyrod and the offense. He knows what type of player I am and I know what type of player he is. He could really help us out,” said McCoy.

“I think him and Sammy on the outside would be a nightmare. Then you put in Charles Clay… we’ll see.”

While the Bills have the first official shot at signing Maclin, it has been reported that the receiver has a visit lined up with the Baltimore Ravens.

The Ravens, who did not draft a receiver, are still in the market for a wideout. Maclin would be an instant upgrade to their corps and a deadly combo with speedster Mike Wallace.

According to NFL.com, both the Ravens and the Bills are “serious contenders” for Maclin.
