Steelers’ Ben Roethlisberger Says Martavis Bryant ‘looks like a stud, as usual’

2 Min Read

If the Pittsburgh Steelers are looking to knock off the Super Bowl Champion New England Patriots next season, they have to be a bit more confident knowing that Martavis Bryant will be there to help them.

The Steelers’ offense obviously missed Bryant, who was serving a one-year league suspension for violating the league’s substance abuse policy.

Bryant’s top-flight speed was a perfect and dangerous compliment to Antonio Brown and helped open up the Steeler offense.

One person who is certainly happy to see Bryant back is quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, who praised Bryant and echoed his value to the team’s success when talking about how Bryant looked in mini-camp.

“Good — learning some of the stuff we put in last year he didn’t know about, remembering things that we had in before,” Roethlisberger said via Brian Batko of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.

“He looks like a stud, as usual, so we’re excited for him to be on the field this year and help us out.”

Rothlisberger knows how important Bryant is to helping the Steelers reach the Super Bowl, but stressed how Bryant needs to be on the field for a full season.

“Well, I think it’s just proving to us he can be out there all season,” he said (h/t NFL.com)

“We need him all year, so I think that’ll be big for us.”

Bryant, a 6-foot-4 speedster, is primed for a big return in 2017.
