Pelicans’ Anthony Davis Ignores Trade Speculation

1 Min Read

In what has been a hectic and action-packed offseason for the NBA, it can be easy to get caught up in the hoopla of all the trade speculation and rumors.

New Orleans Pelicans center Anthony Davis, whose name has come up in rumors, isn’t paying attention to any of it.

“I understand it’s a business, but if I don’t hear anything from [GM] Dell [Demps] or my agent, I don’t pay attention to it,” Davis said, via William Guillory of the Times-Picayune.

Davis specifically discussed rumors that associated him with the Boston Celtics.

“Once I first heard, then I heard it again, then I heard it again, I just wanted to make sure. I found out it wasn’t (true), and that was the beginning of the summer, so I haven’t paid attention to it since.”

Davis is under contract for four more seasons with the Pelicans and while the trade talk is certainly not going to slow down, it won’t be a distraction for Davis who is focused on the task at hand with the New Orleans Pelicans.
