The #metoo campaign is the best healthy cure for a rotten world

4 Min Read

Human evolution is not all about the technical development we have experienced since the early 18th century when the industrialization expanded.

It is certainly also about our inner development, how we think, value and acts according to our thoughts and values. The technical expansion is just a part of that inner change even if the technology is a central part of our daily lives: computers, cell-phones, Ipads, Internet, new electronic cars, you name it.

>>>However, as a former archaeologist, therefore having some kind of insights in that subject which indeed touches our evolution in every kind of way right up to today, I think that it is after all quite strange that we haven’t reached as far as we tend to imagine, in democracy and in treating each other equally.

It was not that long time ago that slavery was abolished or that women were given the right to vote and be an individual with all civil rights in most countries.

But, even so, we have still a massive work ahead to equal the balance, because apparently there are still many men who think that the woman should remain in the kitchen and give birth to uncountable numbers of children (being a sex-slave more or less).

>>>Women have begun to play sports ever since I can remember but still, there are men who think everything between that is just cute to that it is only “ugly lesbian woman” who play and that is “because they haven’t gotten enough c***.”

Which is just pure belittling of the women’s struggle to be as professional as they can be in their sports.

A clear example of such demeaning in a structural way is when the Swedish hockey player Erika Grahm said that she had to pay from her own account for her training to be in shape for the Olympics.

Here is the link about Erika: https://sportsrants.com/uncategorized/male-player-pay-playing-olympics/

Of course, no male hockey player has to pay for his training camps to get in shape for any tournament, all is already paid by the association.

In sexual ways, many or most women have obviously experienced harassments verbally and physically in their workplaces, and one of those millions of women who have faced this is the credentialed photo-journalist Nicole, whom I wrote about a year ago.

Here is the link to Nicole’s story: https://sportsrants.com/uncategorized/nicoles-story-bigger-hockey/

>>>In other contexts, women receive explicit photos, SMS with sexual invites etc. on a daily basis, no matter if they are already engaged or single.

So, the conclusion, the human minds and actions of MEN have not reached that far really ever since the first humanoids began to walk on their feet.

Hopefully, most workplaces including sports organizations will begin to have deep discussions about what has followed the #metoo campaign and will clean out all things that poison the environment.

>>>As I see it, the #metoo campaign is the best healthy cure for now for a rotten world, caused by men.

The earth is the mother of all people, and all people should have equal rights upon it.

Chief Joseph, leader 1840 – 1904

Notable:

The image has necessarily nothing to do with the article, as it is a symbol that women have the same intentions as men with their hockey game, in other words, being as professional as possible.
