Jason Kidd, Steve Nash, Ray Allen Among 2018 Hall of Fame Candidates

The Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame’s Class of 2018 is going to include some big names, if the list of candidates is any indication.

On Thursday, 179 Candidates were announced including first time candidates such as Steve Nash, Jason Kidd and Ray Allen.

Here are some of the other 1st time candidates

  • Grant Hill
  • Chauncey Billups
  • Richard “Rip” Hamilton

“I’m humbled and honored to be nominated,” Billups said according to ESPN’s The Jump. “I played really hard my entire career and left it on the floor.”

Other notable candidates include the likes of Chris Webber, Ben Wallace, Muggsy Bogues, Maurice Cheeks, Tim Hardaway and Sidney Moncrief.

Finalists will be announced in mid-February, during NBA All-Star Weekend in Los Angeles while the Class of 2018 will be unveiled at the NCAA Final Four in San Antonio, Texas.
