Matt Hasselbeck To Call Pro Bowl, Possibly Auditioning For Monday Night Football

ESPN analyst and former NFL quarterback Matt Hasselbeck will be calling the NFL Pro Bowl in what could be a an audition for Monday Night Football.

With Jon Gruden leaving the announce booth to become the head coach of the Oakland Raiders, ESPN has a hole to fill for their Monday Night Football announce team and Hasselbeck is under consideration.

“The process for determining our new Monday Night Football booth is already underway,” ESPN’s Stephanie Druley said in a statement. “We are looking at both internal and external candidates and expect to have a decision made this spring. This is one of the most high-profile and attractive positions in all of sports broadcasting so we want to take our time to ensure we make the best decision.”
