It appears retired NFL quarterback Peyton Manning is about to get another hefty payday when he decides which broadcast booth to jump into.
According to Michael McCarthy of Sporting News, both ESPN and FOX, who are competing for Manning’s services, are willing to pay the future Hall of Famer up to $10M a year as a primary analyst for either ‘Monday Night Football’ or ‘Thursday Night Football’.
ESPN is trying to find a replacement for Jon Gruden, who left to the booth to take the Oakland Raiders’ head coaching gig and if they are able to sign Manning they will pay him around $3.5M more than they did Gruden.
It looks like the chase is on between FOX and ESPN and both are racing to pay Manning handsomely.
