ESPN, Fox Extend Offers to Greg Olsen

Both ESPN and FOX are trying to lure Carolina Panthers tight end Greg Olsen away from the playing field

Both ESPN and FOX are trying to lure Carolina Panthers tight end Greg Olsen away from the playing field and into the broadcast booth.

According to the New York Post’s Andrew Marchand, the two networks have extended multi-year offers to Olsen to join their respective teams, however neither offer would match the $3.4 million that he would make by playing for the Panthers in 2019.

Olsen, who inked a two-year contract extension with Carolina that keeps him under club control through 2020, had auditioned to be an analyst on ESPN’s Monday Night Football back in March 2018 and could be in the running for FOX’s Thursday Night Football team.

Olsen’s 2018 season was limited to 9 games and 7 in 2017 due to injuries.
