Chiefs’ Tyreek Hill Barred Indefinitely from Team Activities

2 Min Read

The Kansas City Chiefs announced that wide receiver Tyreek Hill has been barred indefinitely from all team activities until more is known about an audio recording that aired on KCTV in Kansas City in which Hill’s fiancée accused him of abusing their 3-year-old son.

While Hill avoided charges, the team is taking their own approach, and the league may as well.

“We were deeply disturbed by what we heard [on the recorded conversation],” Chiefs general manager Brett Veach said, according to ESPN’s Adam Teicher.

“We were deeply concerned. Now, obviously, we have great concern for [fiancée] Crystal [Espinal]. We are greatly concerned for Tyreek. But our main focus, our main concern, is with the young child.”

“We are going to continue to gather information and we will make the right decision,” Veach said in his statement.

Hill’s place in the NFL, if these are indeed the facts, needs to be seriously looked at, and a stern message should be sent by the team, NFL, and hopefully the NFLPA that these actions are not tolerated whatsoever.
