Buffalo Bills rookie linebacker Tyrel Dodson was removed from a night club and arrested on Sunday after his girlfriend told police that he physically roughed her up during an altercation earlier in the night, according to TMZ Sports.

Dodson, 20, an undrafted rookie out of Texas A&M, has denied the allegations and told police that he was the victim, showing red marks on his face.

According to police documentation, Dodson and his girlfriend got into an argument back on May 25th in Scottsdale, Arizona after he allegedly vomited on the carpet of her bedroom due to Dodson drinking too much.

The girlfriend says that Dodson got physical with her when she confronted him about the vomit on the carpet, and alleges that he grabbed her “forcefully” and “shoving her against the wall.”

She says that she slapped him in the face and that Dodson responded by slapping her back.

She then fled from the scene, but Dodson did not leave as he was still in her home when she returned, so she locked herself in her bathroom and told him to leave.

She alleges that Didson then busted through the door, which caused the door to smack her in the head leaving a welt, and the argument spilled out into the kitchen where things became even more heated, with Dodson shoving her to the ground as the two scuffled over he cell phone.

The girlfriend eventually left the apartment, but when she returned she claims that Dodson had taken her keys, $500 from her purse, along with an additional $8,000 to $15,000 in cash from a safe that was located under her bed.

Dodson denied ever getting physical with his girlfriend when contact by police via phone, and contended that the argument “was verbal only”, while stating that he only took about $1,000 from her because it was “money they both shared.”

Police seem to have sided with the girlfriend, stating that they found probably cause to arrest him on several charges including domestic violence, tracking him down to Mint Nightclub to formally arrest him.

Dodson was booked on three charges; 1 domestic violence count, 1 charge of disorderly conduct and one charge of damage to property, which are all misdemeanors.

The Buffalo Bills said that; “We are aware of the incident involving Tyrel Dodson last weekend. We have been looking further into the matter and will continue to gather information as the legal process continues.”

Dodson is scheduled in court next month.
