Anthony “Booger” McFarland will take over for Jason Witten alongside Joe Tessitore in the booth for Monday Night Football broadcasts on ESPN, according to The Athletic’s Richard Deitsch.
Witten opted to exit the broadcast booth to return to the playing field for the Dallas Cowboys this season, one year after announcing his retirement from professional football, where he spent his entire career with the Cowboys.
McFarland, 41, spent much of last season as a field-level analyst but joined the broadcast booth for the final two games of the 2018 season.
Lisa Salters will be back on the team as the sideline reporter.
Peyton Manning had informal discussions about the job as well, according to the Associated Press.
