Daniel Cormier Hints that Stipe Miocic Rematch Could be His Last Fight

1 Min Read

UFC Heavyweight Champion Daniel Cormier may be calling it a career after he steps into the octagon for his highly-anticipated rematch against Stipe Miocic, according to TMZ Sports.

Cormier and Miocic are scheduled to fight in a rematch that takes place on August 17th in Anaheim, California.

“I always said that I was gonna fight [until I was 40]” Cormier said. “I couldn’t make that one so, if I hold true to what I was saying, then this would be the final one.”

Cormier knocked Miocic out brutally in the first round of their fight at UFC 226 back in 2018.

Cormier has said he is already starting to train for the fight, and he knows that Micocic will be looking to avenge the brutal loss when the two meet inside the octagon later this summer.

“I truly believe he’s gonna be a better version of himself,” Cormier said. “I think it’ll be a much more difficult fight.”
