Former NBA head coach Don Nelson, who has been at the helm of teams such as the Golden State Warriors, Milwaukee Bucks and Dallas Mavericks, among others, throughout his legendary career, is now moving into the business of marijuana.
According to the Pacific Day News’ JR Radcliffe, Nelson is now in the business of growing his own strain of marijuana, aptly titled ‘Nellie Kush’.
Nelson was profiled on HBO’s Real Sports with Bryant Gumbel which explores his life following retirement which includes farming marijuana in Hawaii.
For those interested in getting their hands on some ‘Nellie Kush’, Nelson is keeping it for personal use only, although he may share it with his friend, and legendary musician, Willie Nelson.
Nelson, who also played 14 years in the NBA, seems to be enjoying his life after basketball.
“You’ve got to treat it like a baby,” Nelson said. “Water them, you’ve got to have music for them. You’ve got to bless them. It’s a whole process, I’m telling you.”
