Seahawks’ Jarran Reed Suspended Six Games

1 Min Read

Seattle Seahawks defensive tackle Jarran Reed will be suspended for the first six games of the upcoming season for violating the league’s personal conduct policy, according to NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport.

The violation stems from a 2017 domestic violence case in which Reed was accused of assault, although Reed wasn’t charged or arrested.

Reed will be missed as the Seahawks kick off the first leg of their 2019 season as he was a big contributor last year and was expected to help fill the void left by pass rusher Frank Clark, who was traded to the Kansas City Chiefs this offseason.

Reed collected a career-best 10.5 sacks and 50 tackles for Seattle during the 2018 season.
