Since the end of the 2018 season, Elliott has been asking the Dallas Cowboys for a new contract. When Elliott was drafted with the fourth overall pick by Dallas, he signed a 4 year rookie contract worth $24,956,341. He also will receive a signing bonus of $16,350,066 and is garnered $24,506,340.

Entering the 2019 season Ezekiel Elliott has two more seasons left on his contract and is trying to ask for a pay raise even though he has 2 years left on his contract.

Since being in the league, Elliott has had some questionable judgement calls that even lead him to a 6-game suspension in 2017. During his absence the Dallas Cowboys went .500 going 3-3.

Now on day 4 of the Cowboys training camp Ezekiel decided to leave the country. According to Kevin Turner of 105.3 The Fan in Dallas, he reveals where Elliott will be spending his time during this long holdout:

My personal opinion is that he is going to Cabo is because he wants to get away from the media and fans as he has been around the Dallas-Ft. Worth metroplex and not at camp as expressed by Jane Slater of the NFL Network.
