Yankees’ Cameron Maybin Reaches Deal to Close DUI Case

New York Yankees outfielder Cameron Maybin has reached a deal that will see his DUI case come to a close, but also force him to attend alcohol abuse screening.

Maybe was arrested back on March 1st in Scottsdale, Arizona during spring training with the San Francisco Giants.

Police pulled Maybin over for drunk driving around 2:25 am, and Maybin would go on to fail a field sobriety tests, blowing a .127.

Maybin was cut by the Giants shortly following his arrest, and he was charged with charges such as DUI, speeding, and making an unsafe lane change, which had the veteran facing up to a year behind bars if he was convicted.

According to TMZ Sports, Maybin’s plea deal will result in the outfielder paying hundreds of dollars in fines and fees, and will see him also attend alcohol abuse screening and complete any treatment that is recommended by the screening agency.
