Carmelo Anthony is attempting to stage another run in the NBA, and has been working out, and scrimmaging, with members of the the Brooklyn Nets, according to SNY’s Ian Begley and Anthony Puccio.
Per the report, Anthony has been taking part in “informal team workouts and scrimmages” in Los Angeles, California with Nets players.
Anthony has failed to find a situation since he last played in the NBA for the Houston Rockets back on November 8th, 2018.
A week following that game, Rockets general manager Daryl Morey announced that Anthony wouldn’t play for the team, and Anthony was eventually traded to the Chicago Bulls, who traded him shortly thereafter.
Since then, Anthony has struggled to find a job, and even did a media scrum to generate interest from teams for the upcoming season, including an appearance on ESPN’s First Take.
“I felt like the game didn’t love me back at that point. … Now, I love the game too much to be away from it.”
