Kevin Garnett Invests in Triumph Esports

Former NBA MVP and future Hall of Famer Kevin Garnett has taken his talents to the esports world since retiring from the NBA.

According to Reuters (h/t ESPN), Garnett has made an investment in the newly formed esports company Triumph Esports through Big Tickets Sports LLC, which is Garnett’s experiential event management and production company.

Triumph Esports is considered a “full service esports company” and is home to competitive epsorts and experiential event company Rivalcade, along with esports team Triumph Gaming.

Triumph Gaming operate esports teams that compete in Overwatch, Apex Legends, and Teamfight Tactics.

“Our relationship with Triumph Esports is a natural fit as we look to showcase and elevate shared lifestyle experiences through competition, content, and live events,” Garnett said, via an official press release. “Our vision is to create unique experiences that hit our fans across a variety of passion points.”

Garnett retired from the NBA in 2016 and his Big Ticket LLC owns the Hoop It Up basketball and Kick It soccer tours.
