Sacramento Kings forward Marvin Bagley III has informed USA Basketball (Team USA) that he is officially withdrawing from consideration for the roster for the FIBA World Cup, according to reports.
Bagley’s withdrawal comes two days before he was scheduled to report for the second week of training camp, which takes place in El Segundo, California.
Bagley, who was on the select team of younger players chosen to compete against national-team candidates, was not immediately replaced and it is unclear if he will be.
The team will practice at the Los Angeles Lakers’ facility from Tuesday through Thursday, then they are slated to face Spain in Anaheim, California, on Friday night.
