Twitch Becomes Official Streaming Partner for USA Basketball

1 Min Read

Twitch has officially partnered with the National Basketball Association (NBA) to become the official streaming partner for USA Basketball games globally through 2020, according to Reuters.

The addition of USA basketball games is just another feather in the cap for Twitch, which has been adding a ton of sports content to their platform, Twitch streamers, and creating more Twitch channels dedicated to content other than gaming.

The NBA’s media rights currently lie with ESPN, ABC, and TNT through its 2025 season, and by venturing into the world of streaming via this partnership with Twitch, it can lead to even more creative opportunities.

The new partnership deal is an expansion of the already existing partnership that the NBA has with Twitch, which already streams G League and NBA 2K League games.
