Eagles Made Offer for Chargers’ Melvin Gordon

1 Min Read

Now that the Los Angeles Chargers are letting running back Melvin Gordon seek out a trade, a team has reportedly already jumped into the fray with an offer.

According to ESPN’s Josina Anderson, the Chargers have been “probing” for a 2020 first-round pick or a 2020 fifth-round and 2021 first-rounder in “exploratory trade” talks with interested teams.

According to MMQB’s Albert Breer, the Philadelphia Eagles are exploring such a trade, and have offered a package featuring running back Jordan Howard and a swapping of mid-round draft picks.

The Chargers have declined that offer.

While they may not get the high-end draft pick they are seeking in a potential Gordon deal, they don’t seem interested in a swapping of mid-round picks, even if it does include a veteran running back coming back in return.
