The Memphis Grizzlies and Andre Iguodala have mutually agreed that Iguodala can stay away from the team as they search for a trade partner, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.
The Grizzlies currently have no plans to negotiate a buyout and they intend to continue to search for a suitable trade before the NBA trade deadline of February 6th, 2020.
“We’re trying to figure out things on both sides,” Iguodala said, according to NBC Sports Bay Area. “They’re trying to figure out some things, and I’m trying to figure out some things. As of today, we’re on the same page. Camp opens the next week. We’ll see. We’re on the same page, though.”
Iguodala, 35, was traded from the Golden State Warriors this summer and is due to make $17.2 million during the upcoming season, the final year of his current contract.
Iguodala 5.7 points, 3.7 rebounds and 3.2 assists per game last season, coming off the bench, for the Warriors.
