Patriots Cut Antonio Brown Amid Allegations

1 Min Read

Add the New England Patriots to a growing list of teams that could not longer put up with the off-field issues surrounding wide receiver Antonio Brown.

The Patriots announced on Friday that they are cutting ties with Brown, less than two weeks after they signed him following his brief stint, and fast release, from the Oakland Raiders.

Brown has been accused of sexually assaulting his former trainer Britney Taylor, who met with the NFL earlier this week.

Brown faces another allegation of sexual misconduct by a female artist who was working at his Western Pennsylvania home in 2017, and a new report surfaced over the past 24 hours showing Brown making intimidating texts to the artist following the news hitting the media.

Additionally, a Sports Illustrated report damned Brown further, detailing domestic incidents involving Brown, a charity auction theft and multiple unpaid debts.

Brown was impressive in his only game with the Patriots, and now is a free agent.

Despite his game-changing talent, he may be running out of chances this season, and the NFL may eventually intervene to keep him off the field as legal matters and accusations continue to mount.
