Oakland Raiders left tackle Trent Brown has been accused of multiple acts of domestic violence against his girlfriend in a lawsuit that was filed this week in Alameda County (California) Superior Court.
Brown, 26, inked a four-year, $66 million contract with the Raiders during free agency, after impressing with his play with the Super Bowl champion New England Patriots.
According to ESPN, the woman accused Brown of slapping, punching and choking her on multiple occasions beginning in 2018. Additionally, she said she has been “bruised, bloodied and battered” from the attacks from Brown, and lived in fear of Brown.
The lawsuit states that a police report was filed following a June 2019 incident in which Brown allegedly slapped the woman and bruised her arm.
The lawsuit says that the two started dating back in 2017, and had a child with one another in January 2019, with the woman saying that she and Brown had a “non-marital partnership agreement.”
The lawsuit goes on to say that when the woman threatened to leave Brown, leaving with their child, Brown allegedly told the woman that “I’ll shoot yo ass in the f—ing head before you walk out that door with my son.”
Brown allegedly kicked her out of the house back in June.
The lawsuit is requesting a jury trial and is seeking unspecified compensation, which include punitive damages.
The Raiders have not yet issued a comment regarding Brown, and it is possible that Brown could face disciplinary action from the NFL under the personal conduct policy.
