Redskins’ Landon Collins Becomes Investor for ReKTGlobal

Washington Redskins’ safety Landon Collins has become an investor for ReKTGlobal, the parent company of Rogue and London Royal Ravens, according to an official press release.

Collins becomes just the latest athlete to involve himself with the industries top esports teams, and the big esports news is making headlines today.

“Landon is a passionate gamer who can go head to head against esports pros and beat them” Amish Shah, Founder and Chairman of ReKTGlobal said via a statement. “A legend on and off the field, Collins is a great fit to add to our all-star list of investors. We are thrilled to welcome him to our organization and growing family.”

“Esports is one of the most lucrative industries right now and its future is bright” Collins commented, via a release. “As a professional athlete and a passionate gamer, I understand and appreciate what ReKTGlobal is doing to further connect the worlds of traditional sports and esports. I love competition and the competitive nature of the gaming industry and I’m excited to enter a new realm of competition through my investment with ReKTGlobal and Rogue.”

ReKTGlobal is making big strides in the 2019 year, especially with involvements from both celebrities and professional athletes, such as Collins, and also with big time esports players as well.

With the esports landscape evolving, with more teams created, more players on the rise, more big brands and businesses getting financially involved, more mainstream coverage, and the launch of esports team directory as well as apparel lines, 2020 is shaping up to be the most exciting year in esports considering just how big 2019 has been for the industry.

Collins has collected 79 total tackles and a sack for the Redskins this season, his first season with the team since singing as a free agent during the offseason.
