Although he will not be throwing at the NFL Combine later this,  former Alabama quarterback and top draft prospect Tua Tagovailoa is prepared to clear another hurdle in his recovery and expects to receive full medical clearance on March 9th, according to ESPN’s Cameron Wolfe.

Tagovailoa, who suffered a posterior wall fracture and dislocated hip back in November, is focusing on doing well in the medical examinations and interviews and says that the medical portion of the combine has been “a process.”

Furthermore, Tagovailoa said all the medical evaluations he has received from his doctors have been positive and he expects to play in the 2020 season. He added that he was the last person to leave the medical exams in Indianapolis on Monday.

Tagovailoa said that he expects to start throwing, rolling out and doing dropbacks and other quarterback related things when March 9th arrives.

“I’m hoping to do everything,” Tagovailoa said. “I don’t think there is much to wait on.”

NFL teams will be paying close attention to how things continue to play out, but Tagovailoa will be ready whenever his name is called in the 2020 NFL Draft.

“Whatever team decides to take me, I’d be grateful. Whether it’s 2, 32nd or 200th, I’ll be grateful,” Tagovailoa said.
