Duke’s Mike Krzyzewski Fires Back at Critics

2 Min Read

If you’re a critic of Duke this season, and the coaching by legendary head coach Mike Krzyzewski, then Krzyzewski has a special message for you; “just come into Cameron and look up in the ceiling, and then find out if you should question that.”

Krzyzewski, 73, took aim at critics during an appearance on the Blue Devils’ postgame radio show, following Duke’s victory over North Carolina State on Monday, according to 247Sports’ Mike Flaherty.

“I mean, you can question my coaching and what the hell — and then when you do question it, but the way, just come into Cameron and look up in the ceiling, and then find out if you should question that,” Krzyzewski said.

“But don’t do anything with our players. Just support ‘em.”

It’s easy to see how things are different for Duke this season, who are usually afforded a number of NBA Draft lottery pick type players, but this season it doesn’t seem the super-elite talent are forming the Duke frontline, as Krzyzewski has used an 13 different starting lineups to try and find the right formula.

While there are certainly critics, it can be easily argued that this is Krzyzewski’s best coaching performance in years.
